Airmodus offers next generation nanoparticle counters for scientific and industrial use and develops advanced solutions for measuring airborne particles and gases. The devotedly developed products combine top of the line performance with simplistic design and amazing practicality.

Nanoparticle counters and detectors

There is a growing demand to measure even the smallest particles in the size range of nanometers. The main applications of nano-particle counters are aerosol and climate research, air quality monitoring both indoors and outdoors, as well as nanomaterial process monitoring, quality control and optimization.

Single nano-sized particles can not be observed optically. Therefore particles must be grown to optical sizes. By condensing highly saturated working fluid on top of the examined nanoparticles, condensation particle counters (CPCs) can count the grown particles by using an optical particle counter.

The first commercially available product is the Airmodus A09 Particle Size Magnifier. It can be used with any conventional CPC to lower the detection limit even down to one nanometer.

In fall 2011 Airmodus launched a new butanol-based CPC A20. It can be used as stand-alone instrument for measuring particle number concentration in air, or as counter in different kinds of aerosol measurement systems.
