Spring was busy busy time here at Airmodus. The new version of Particle Size Magnifier (PSM) was to be launched. Calibrations at the University of Helsinki laboratories showed promising results; the instument was activating tiny particles and molecular clusters as well as the good old A09.
However, the first real showcase for the instrument was the spring intensive measurement campaign at the SMEAR II station in Hyytiälä. I travelled to Hyytiälä in the middle of May, when the campaign had lasted for about a month. As I talked to the previous duty-on person, who was babysitting the instruments on site, I knew we had succeeded: ” I love the new PSM”, was the first comment I heard.
